Nurseries

Nurseries supply the living components of your garden as well as some non-living components. You can find indoor and outdoor plants, pot plants, mulches, soils etc. some nurseries specialise in particular sorts of plants such as natives and exotics. Generalist nurseries provide an immense range of plants. Whichever nursery you choose, the staff will be able to give you advice on the right plants for your soil type and climate conditions. Some nurseries also provide design services, which is great if you’re not sure exactly what plants you’re after.

Nurseries can also provide advanced trees and shrubs for the “instant” garden, which is great if you are landscaping for a sale or if you need instant privacy, for example. Be advised, however, that advanced plants are usually significant more expensive than standard plants.

Good nurseries should deliver plants to you in good condition. If plants become sick or die within a certain period, the nursery should also replace them for you.
