Before any wall construction began, they prepared the site. First, they cleared and leveled both the front and back yards. This process removed 18 cubic meters of dirt. Consequently, they created a blank canvas for the project. Then, they focused on the backyard. They retained the entire area. This action ensured structural integrity. Furthermore, they backfilled the retained areas. They used geo-mesh, agg pipe, and drainage gravel. These materials provide essential support and drainage.
Constructing the Retaining Wall: A Core Element
The project’s cornerstone was the 40-meter retaining wall. This wall ran down the side of the property. It allowed access for the Kanga loader to the backyard. In addition, it created a level surface. Furthermore, it prevented soil erosion. The wall construction required careful planning. Consequently, the team ensured proper alignment and stability. Moreover, they used durable materials. This guaranteed the wall’s longevity.
Installing Functional Features: Enhancing Usability
Following the wall’s completion, they installed a concrete slab. This slab served as a shed base. Additionally, they implemented a full irrigation system. This system ensured efficient watering. Therefore, the landscape would remain healthy. Next, they focused on the yard’s aesthetics. They laid garden edging and topsoil. This step created defined planting areas. Subsequently, they installed 52 meters of Colorbond fencing. This fencing provided privacy and security.
Final Touches: Completing the Transformation
Finally, Rogers Little Loaders added the finishing touches. They incorporated a well-thought-out design. This design included turf and plants from Tropiscapes Horticultural Solutions. As a result, the home’s exterior transformed. The property now boasts a polished look. Indeed, the team achieved a successful project. They delivered a happy customer.
The Importance of Proper Construction Techniques
Retaining wall construction requires specific knowledge. For instance, proper drainage is essential. Without it, water can build up. This buildup can cause the wall to fail. Also, soil compaction is crucial. It ensures the wall’s stability. Rogers Little Loaders understands these nuances. They apply best practices. Therefore, they deliver lasting results.
Choosing the Right Materials: A Key Consideration
Material selection plays a significant role. Timber, concrete, and stone are common choices. Each material has its benefits. For example, timber offers a natural look. Concrete provides durability. Complete landscape – Side
This new build in mitchelton required full home landscaping. First we had build a 40m retaining wall down the side so we could fit the kanga out the back. Once that was complete we cut out the back and front yards to get it level by removing 18m3 of dirt. We then retained the entire backyard also and backfilled all retained areas with geo-mesh, agg pipe and drainage gravel. A concrete slab was poured for a shed slab and full irrigation system installed. As the yard took shape garden edging and top soil was layed and levelled before installing 52m of colorbond fencing around the property. Finished off with a good design, turf and plants by Tropiscapes Horticultural Solutions this home now looks a million bucks. Well done to the team at Rogers little loaders for another successful project and happy customer
